Vision Planning and Consulting, LLC (VPC) was founded in 2006 and is located in Columbia, MD. VPC specializes in hazard mitigation planning, community planning, disaster management, grant writing, and public outreach. VPC has a staff of planners, GIS specialists, emergency management specialists, data analysts, grants administrators, and outreach and engagement specialists. VPC prides itself in providing top-notch disaster management services to the Federal, state, and local governments, as well as academic and institutional clients in all four phases of disaster management – preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery. VPC staff members offer extensive experience in working closely with emergency management agencies, planning departments, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and inclusive planning processes.

VPC develops preparedness, mitigation, and recovery plans and implementation strategies using a bottom-up vs. a top-down approach. We integrate hazard information and mitigation policies and principles into local planning mechanisms and vice versa. VPC helps communities prepare, recover, and mitigate against natural disasters with tools, guides, and strategies that secure and protect the community. By providing technical assistance to communities and developing action-oriented and implementable plans, VPC strives to improve community well-being.
