About Margaret Vinci

Margaret Vinci is the Manager of the Caltech Office of Earthquake Programs where she connects Caltech scientists & engineers with critical users of earthquake information through the Earthquake Research Affiliates program. This includes working with lifelines, leaders in business, media, government and emergency management & response to assess potential risks to life and property due to earthquakes, development of earthquake tools to reduce losses, provide education and training and build collaborations to promote and develop earthquake resilience. She is also the So Cal Regional Coordinator for ShakeAlert® Earthquake Early Warning to promote technical partner engagement and use of public alerts and automated actions to reduce injuries and damage to infrastructures due to earthquakes, and also the Co-Chair of Earthquake Country Alliance So Cal to promote earthquake resilience.
